Self Care

The referendum to repeal the Eighth Amendment is happening next year and it is important to remember just how crucial self-care is when it comes to activism. Activism can be a tough road and the next few months in the lead up to the referendum will be no exception, with this in mind it is super important that we all take the time to mind ourselves as best we can! Sometimes it can be difficult to allow yourself to take a break from your various responsibilities, whether its campaigning, education, work or your social life but, as Audre Lorde once said:

“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare”
